We can also provide advice about other issues arising from separation, such as Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders (ADVO’s), Wills, property transfers and how to protect assets until resolution of your matter.
We can conduct mediation for for family law disputes, to help parties reach early resolution for their family. We can do this for self-represented parties and lawyer assisted mediations for those who already have legal representation. Contact us for more information.
Who We Are
The Principal of the firm, Amanda Dries, has practised predominantly in the area of family law, and also has experience in wills, conveyancing and property law. Amanda has been practising primarily in family law in the local area since being admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2010, and later, the High Court of Australia.
More recently, Amanda has been undertaking work as an Independent Children’s Lawyer and recently completed her Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution Practice, meaning that Amanda is now an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, who can facilitate mediation between parties who are in dispute. Having accreditation, Amanda can issue Section 60i Certificates where applicable.
Amanda also has a Masters in Applied Law in Family Law, with experience in all types of parenting matters, complex property settlement matters, divorce and child support for married, de facto and same sex couples. We can assist with early intervention strategies such as mediation, advice for people who are unsure of their rights and obligations and representation in matters before the Local Court and Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
